December Favourites

Hello Everyone,
December is always such an exciting month, with the build up to Christmas and New Year. Most of my monthly favourites are either presents from Christmas, or bought because it was Christmas. I love December so much and am already counting down the days until next year (I don't really wish my life away). I hope everyone had a great year and if not, I hope this year brings you all the happiness in the world.

Benefit Party poppers musical advent calendar
This was a gift I received from my boyfriend for xmas. He bought it in New York, which made it extra special. So far I have had they're real mascara, lip gloss and highlighters. It is so exciting having a little gift each day from him, especially when we are apart over Christmas.

Sparkling Snow Yankee Candle
This was another gift I received from a friend over Christmas. It smells amazing, just like Christmas. I am actually burning it as I write this now.

Kert Geiger tassle ankle boots
This was my Christmas 'main' present from my parents. They are just what I wanted for a smart shoe to wear for special occasions and date nights. I'll probably end up wearing them all the time though. I bought them myself from the outlet in Portsmouth, so I got them for a great price, but with a couple of scuffs, Mum was able to quickly remove them though.

Urban Decay makeup setting spray
This is amazing. My makeup always comes off really quickly from applying it in the morning. I have noticed that the foundation stays on all day now, with my blush and bronzer. It's great and means I don't have to apply more, and will eventually save some money on that. I haven't noticed my eyeliner stays on especially well with it, but I don't use a primer, so that would probably help.

Lindt Santa
Christmas is not Christmas without shit loads of chocolate. I have eaten sooo much chocolate my skin has been so spotty. Sadly chocolate really shows on my face. However, sadly, it is so worth it!

Paco Rabanne Lady Million
I am in love with this perfume and have been for years. I first bought it when I was about 18 after all my friends had it and smelt insanely good. Since then I have always had it, but ran out about 6 months ago, and couldn't afford a new one. I had almost forgotten how amazing it smelt when I smelt it again on Christmas day.

Rimmel London Glitter Bomb varnish
I wore this nail varnish over Christmas, and it is such festive colours. I love the red and silver together, although I must say, it didn't stay on for long.

What were your monthly favourites? Let me know in the comments below,

Christmas Walks

Hello everyone,
A Very Happy Christmas EVE to everyone firstly!

Today is always a day filled with baking and preparation for tomorrow, so very exciting.
Yesterday, my boyfriend visited for a day and a half. It went by far too quickly, but we managed to some how fit so much into the short time we had together.

We exchanged presents, and as he spent the last few weeks in NYC, I was very lucky to get some exclusive presents!! The most exciting present I received other than his presence (cringe) is the Benefit 12 days of christmas calendar box. Its amazing!!!! When you open it is sings a festive fun version of a christmas classic song. There are 12 days of christmas obviously, so after christmas I will still be opening little surprise presents, which is such a lovely idea! I will be sure to write a blog post in the future about all the bits I got. I also got a I love NY top for bed, and some sweeties!

We didn't have long together, so had to make the most of the day, so we got up nice and early and caught the bus into bristol centre (as my car has died, wah). We walked around a place called Clifton Village, which is beautiful, and filled with lots of little christmas shops, the atmosphere was lovely. Clifton is next to the famous suspension bridge, which was looking lush as it was unbelievably a beautiful day, so we took advantage of this photograph-wise. We had some lunch in Zizzi, which was as tasty as ever. We then walked to cabot tower, which is up on the top of a hill, looking over Bristol. The views were spectacular, and it felt so festive and cute. We took lots of terrible selfies, and then headed back home. It was a lovely day, shame it went by so quickly.

I wish everyone a very merry Christmas tomorrow, I hope you all have a wonderful day and eat lots of quality street and mince pies!

Lots of Love,

Hi Everyone,
Finally it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas (everywhere you go...). Yesterday I visited the city of Bath, which is just a short train journey from where I live. My mum and I love our little days out to Bath, as it's a beautiful city with lots of great shops. As it is ONE WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS (yes I am getting rather excited), Bath was looking extra gorgeous! Of course, I can't say online all the wonderful presents I bought, I just can't wait to give them to everyone! Mum and I stopped for tea and cake at a lovely little cafe, and then had some lunch at Carluccios (mums fave). I had a very yummy chicken in Palma ham with rosemary potatoes.

Today we put the christmas tree up, I know it's very late, but as a lot has been going on in my family recently, we just haven't had the time. We also have two trees, one that is of course in our living room and the other in the conservatory, so when we are eating at the dinner table we can see it glistening through the window.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

Love as always,

The mascara everyone needs

Hello Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you my favourite mascara ever: The Benefits 'They're Real!'
I bought this several months ago, and its starting to run out, so I will have to stock up on some more, as I can't imagine using any other mascara after this!

So why do I love it so much I hear you ask?
It lengthens the lash like no other product I have used, whilst not making the lash clumpy with mascara. It also keeps the lashes separated and curled and feels really lightweight, as well as lasting all day long!

This selfie shows the left side with no mascara, and the right side wearing Benefits 'they're real'. I keep buying more and more benefit makeup, and I really can't believe how good it is! Although, it does seem to be taking a lot of my money!!
I cannot speak higher of this product, a solid 10/10 in my opinion!

What mascara is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!

Love as always,

The Perfect Christmas Chocolate Truffles

Hey guys,
As christmas is coming, I thought it would be great to share this delicious recipe, which is perfect for when friends and family come over during this festive season. Its also super easy to make and takes less than 10 minutes!

300 ml double cream

1 knob unsalted butter
1 clementine , finely grated zest of
300 g good-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids) , broken into small pieces
1 pinch sea salt
1 splash brandy or rum
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
a handful of crushed nuts

1./ Put cream into a pan and heat up (not to boil).
2./ Add the butter and clementine zest
3./ Put the cream mixture into a bowl of finely chopped chocolate and whisk together
4./ Add the brandy and salt which adds to the chocolatey flavour.
5./ Put into a bowl and refrigerate for a few hours.
6./ When set, allow it to warm up to room temperature, you can then easily spoon out the mixture and either roll in cocoa powder or nuts.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Lots of love,

My Goals for 2016

1- Carry on blogging regularly
I feel my blog has come so far, as I haven't even had it a year yet. I love blogging, and most importantly I want to make sure I carry on blogging because I enjoy it, rather than seeing it as something I have to do.

2- Achieve a 2.1 or 1st overall for university
Last year I achieved a 2.1 overall, so I am hoping I can keep up the good work, and leave university with an overall 2.1. I highly doubt I will get a 1st, but neither the less I will try my hardest!

3- Not to let fears take over my dreams
It's easy to let your faults define you, but I won't let that get in the way of applying for my dream jobs. I am quite a shy person sometimes, so some applications for jobs seem very nerve wracking, I will confront my fears this year, and not let any type of application affect whether I decide to apply or not!

4- Move to a new city after university
After University I don't want to move back home, purely because I like my own independence. Also I'm far too conformable at home, and probably would never end up moving out! I hope to get a job in London, that would be ideal. I can't see myself living in London for long, but it would be a great experience.

5-Travel to a new city or country
This year I traveled to 2 new places, Paris and Turkey. Paris was an absolute dream, and Turkey was so much nicer than I had anticipated. I hope this year brings lots of new adventures as I absolutely love to travel to new places or cities. I'd love to go to Barcelona, Rome, Florence, croatia, and many many more places!

6-Get more active
This year I did loose a lot of weight, but not because of exercise but due to a healthier diet and less snacks. I have a membership at the gym, so this year I WILL use it and make the most of the money I spent, plus getting active is so good for your body and wellbeing.

So theres all my goals for the year of 2016. Have you set any goals for this coming year? Let me know in the comments below.

Lots of Love,

BareMinerals: My favourite cleanser

I'm in awe of BareMinerals cleansing oil. I must admit, I haven't used an oil based cleanser before, so I don't know how this compares to other brands. All I do know is that this has worked miracles.

Since I was around 14 I have had spots and red blemishes on my chin and forehead, within less than a week using this product day and night, my skin is so so so much clearer. The cleanser, cleans away makeup that my makeup wipes were unable to remove, as well as smoothing the skin.

To apply the cleanser all I do is damp my face with a warm flannel and then dry my hands. I use about two squirts of the oil and rub my hands together which warms the oil (it then feels lovely and warming, perfect for the chilly months). After massaging it all over my face, I wash it off with my warm flannel, leaving my skin feeling very luxurious.

I highly recommend this product, especially if you have dry skin as it also hydrates the skin.

What are your favourite cleansing products? Let me know in the comments below :)

Southampton Shopping Trip

Hello Hello,
A couple of days ago, my housemate and I went to Southampton for a day of shopping as it was her 21st birthday! It was such a fun day, as I really needed some cheering up after the week I've had. I bought a few christmas presents, so got to make sure I don't accidentally tell all! I also bought a few goodies for myself which I shall share with y'all.

I decided I want to splash the cash on a nice cleanser, and had read how the BareMinerals is a good brand for this. I wasn't sure whether to buy the facial cleansing cream or oil. The shop assistant in John Lewis told me that the oil is nice and warming and is great for dry skin, which I suffer from in the winter, so I opted for this one.

I then bought the Revlon rose glow highlighting palate/blusher. I saw Tanya Burr use it in a video and it looked gorgeous - lets hope it looks nice on me too!

I am a nightmare for not washing my makeup brushes regularly, so in Boots I saw this no7. makeup brush cleaner, and thought I definitely should invest in this, for my poor brushes sake. I used it straight away and its amazing - smells like vodka though..
In Boots I also bought a beauty blender, I love itttt, it's so soft and really blends makeup so flawlessly.

I sadly have a funeral to attend next week. My lovely Grandad passed away last week. So I was in need of a smart black blazer to wear with a dress I already own. I found a nice one in H&M which was a good price. I also bought a lovely sparkly dress in the sale from H&M, its very Christmassy looking, although Ill admit I did have to squeeze into it!

To end this post on a brighter note, Southampton was sooo Christmassy, and it got me very excited. I can't wait to give everyone their presents, the 25th can't come soon enough! Hurry up Santa!!

How has everyone's week been? Hows your christmas shopping coming along?
Lots of love as always,

Review: Revlon Brow Fantasy

Hello Everyone,

I have been searching for the perfect Brow kit for soo long, and I think I may have finally found the perfect product, which fills me with happiness to say! I think it's safe to say I have tried most products (apart from the overly pricey ones!) out there, but I've never actually bought anything by Revlon. I saw it in my local Superdrug store and thought why not, turned out to be the best decision ever.

The product comes in two halves; 1. The pencil 2. The gel
The pencil pigmentation is very impressive, so much better than the other products I've used before. I hardly needed much and using a Mac 208 I just brushed the pencil into the brow. Then finally I just brush the brow using the gel applicator to fill in any gaps and add some depth to the brow. The product comes in 3 colours, blonde, brunette and dark brown. I choose dark brown after debating it for a while, it turned out a great match.

Overall, I thought the brows look very natural, yet styled exactly the way I like. I would highly recommend this as it was a good price compared to other products such as Benefits 'gimme brow', yet also has a pencil alongside the Gel.
I feel my many years of searching for the perfect brow product has come to an end, Thanks Revlon!

What are you favourite brow products? Let me know by commenting below :)

Lots of Love,

These are all my own views on the product.

10 Must See Christmas Movies

10 Must See Christmas Movies

It is officially ONE MONTH until Christmas day!!!!
I don't know whether this post is a bit premature, but who cares, I LOVE CHRISTMAS.
Theres nothing better than to snuggle up with my cosy blankets and watch a christmassy movie with a hot chocolate in hand (and maybe a tonne of quality street!).

Here are my all time favourite Christmas films than I make sure I always watch! (yes I am very sad)

1. Love Actually
A classic, what more to love than a film all about love?

2. The Polar Express
This is adorable, all about a boys journey to visit Santa!

3. National Lampoons Christmas vacation
    Just Hilarious!

4. Elf
A film everyone seems to love!
5. The holiday
So much love in the air, I must have seen this film a zillion times!

6. The Grinch
When I was young Mum bought me a poster of the grinch...I couldn't sleep for days I was so          scared! But... good film.

7. Miracle on 34th Street
This film is so christmassy, really lovely film.

8. It's a wonderful life
I use to hate this film because it's in black and white, but give it a go, its actually the perfect film for christmas!

9. The muppets christmas carol
     A classic story!

10. The snowman
I have loved this film since I was a wee tod. It seems to get better everytime I watch it, is that even possible?

So there are my favourite Christmas films! Have you got any different favourite Christmas films? Comment below :)

Lots of love,

November Favourites

Hey guys!

I haven't done a monthly favourites post in agesss, so apologies. Here's all the things I've been loving this month!

1. Baby Lips
I saw this on a blog post by Tanya Burr, and thought I need to own this! It's perfect for winter, as it's a lip balm with colouring, win win. I went for the shade 'pink punch' as it's gorgeous, and has a surprisingly bright pigmentation for a lip balm. It also smells and tastes amazing which is always a bonus!

2. Nail Varnish
This is an old nail varnish, but thought i'd wear it as its such a lovely warm lilac, once again, perfect for the winter months. The colour is called 'prickly pear' 341 in Barry M Gelly range.

3. Rimmel Purple eye shadow

I bought this Maybelline diamond glow in 'purple drama' shades from Superdrug, as I was looking for a cheap purple eyeshadow, to match my outfit. I loved the colours, and bought it because purple really helps brown/hazel eyes stands out. I wore it out for a night out, and by the time i got back late at night, it was still all in place with good pigmentation.

4. Lost

I hate to admit I have already watched this TV series before, but my boyfriend hasn't and wanted to know what all the fuss is about (mainly me blabbering on about it). The first time I watched Lost I thought it was amazing, and so far it's just as good 2nd time round!

5. Giovanna Fletcher books

Giovanna Fletcher is an author and Youtuber whilst also married to McFly's Tom Fletcher (They are an adorable couple with the cutest baby!). Over summer I read 'Billy and Me', and it was so good. It was about a young women from a village (like myself) who falls in love with a rich celebrity actor (not like myself), and all the dramas that come with that relationship. As this book was really good I decided to buy 'You're the one that I want', and it's just as gripping.
I would highly recommend Giovanna's books, they got me back reading for fun again!

How has everyone's November been? Have you had any favourites? Let me know in the comments below :)
